WaterSmart Business Grants are available to business and agricultural customers connected to drinking water for projects that improve water efficiency and/or achieve permanent water savings.
The program will provide up to 50% of the direct costs of approved projects that deliver permanent reductions in drinking water consumption.
To be eligible for funding, projects must demonstrate their capacity to achieve water savings through one or more of:
- substitution of mains drinking water with alternative water sources such as rainwater, groundwater or surface water
- recycling wastewater to reduce drinking water consumption, for instance for irrigation
- water efficiency measures such as maintenance, equipment upgrades, installation of water efficient fittings and fixtures and improved practices
Eligibility
WaterSmart Business Grants are open to Barwon Water business customers from all industry sectors (manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, hospitality, health, etc) connected to mains drinking water.
Applicants must be registered and have a current ABN.
