Barwon Water is proud to support the community by offering hydration stations to local, eligible events.
We have two types of hydration station available:
Hydration station trailer – available for large events (greater than 1000 attendees).
Portable bottle refill units, which typically come in a set of two or three
For events within a 35km radius of our Ryrie Street office, the units are only available for collection and installation by event coordinators.
For events outside a 35km radius of our Ryrie Street office, our crew will deliver, install and dismantle the units based on the times and dates on your application form.
All hydration stations are available on a first-in basis and early bookings are encouraged.
The hydration station must be connected to our water supply system (it can’t be connected to a private line or tank).
We require at least 4 weeks’ notice for all bookings. This enables us to assess the site and process the application.
Preference will be given to community, not-for-profit and charity events.
Barwon Water will not support events which promote activities that have an adverse impact on community health. Events that support gambling, alcohol, tobacco or vaping, for example, will not be supported.
Barwon Water reserves the right to assess the eligibility of events on a case-by-case basis to ensure alignment with Barwon Water’s values

Portable refill units
We have recently updated the process for borrowing our portable bottle refill units.
To enable more events to have access to free drinking water, we now provide a self-service system for our portable refill units for events within a 35km radius of our Ryrie Street office.
Areas within a 35km radius include Geelong, Torquay, the Bellarine Peninsula, and as far as Lethbridge. Please refer to our below map to find out if your event is within this radius.

Refill units for events outside a 35km radius of our Ryrie Street office (and within our service area) will continue to be delivered, installed, and dismantled by Barwon Water crew.
Our hydration station trailer will also continue to be delivered, installed, and dismantled by a Barwon Water crew.
