Seasonal change to water supplies

14 Aug 2024

As we adjust our water sources to balance storage levels over the next few weeks, some customers may notice a slight change in taste.

This is a normal occurrence as we increase our supply from the Moorabool catchments while reducing our supply from Wurdee Boluc Reservoir, due to low rainfall. Current water storage levels are more than 20 per cent lower than at the same time last year, so we are implementing these changes earlier than usual this year.

Each catchment has its own natural taste profile, which is influenced by local soils, vegetation, and rainfall; and customers may notice a subtle change in flavour as a result.
