28 Nov 2018
Customers in parts of Geelong and Golden Plains Shire are now receiving water from our Moorabool supply system.
Customers in parts of Geelong and Golden Plains Shire are now receiving water from our Moorabool supply system. The change is normal at this time of year to balance water storage levels across our different reservoir catchments.
Customers in Bannockburn, Lethbridge and Meredith will receive water from the Moorabool system and may notice a change in taste as a result.
Some Geelong suburbs are receiving a blend of water from the Barwon and Moorabool catchments, and might notice a slight taste change. Suburbs affected by the change are:
- Batesford
- Bell Park
- Bell Post Hill
- Belmont
- Corio
- Highton
- Lara
- Little River
- Manifold Heights
- Newtown
- Norlane
- North Geelong
- Wandana Heights.
We continually monitoring water quality and treatment processes and will make adjustments to reduce any noticeable impacts of the seasonal change.
All water supplied is 100% safe to drink and complies with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
