Tips for preparing your application
We ask you to provide a cover letter and a résumé. These are our first impression of you!
Your cover letter should tell us a bit about yourself and what you’re looking forward to. There’s no need for lots of words here: aim for one page or less.
Please note, we won’t ask you to respond to key selection criteria.
Your résumé tells us about your qualifications and experience. Three pages is usually plenty.

If you haven’t heard from us within 2 weeks of the closing date, your application hasn’t progressed. Unfortunately, we don’t notify unsuccessful applicants directly.
Please note, we don’t accept speculative applications, and we won’t keep your résumé on-file for potential future openings.
Our interview process
Interviews can be a bit daunting but we encourage you to be as relaxed as possible about the interview experience.
We’ve read your application and we like what we see. Now we want to know a bit more about you.

We invite you to dive into your career with us and take advantage of all the opportunities you will be presented with during your employment with Baron Water.
As part of your onboarding experience with us, we are committed to ensuring that you feel as welcomed and supported as possible. Just some of the things you can expect as part of our 12 month Employee Onboarding Experience; a site tour where you will be spending the day out on site visiting some of our reservoirs and treatment plants. This is a great way to get to know the other new joiners and connect our work here across our service region that expands over 8,000 square kilometres to the physical delivery of water to our customers.
You will also take part in a Connection to Country excursion to one of the many culturally significant sites located across our region and is hosted by the Traditional Owners from the Wadawurrung community. This in depth program provides the foundation for creating an appropriate and respectful workplace culture for all employees.
